simulation of 5 wash temps in a Maytag A series washer

I'm going to wash sweatshirts

But I want to wash in cool water

can i fill the tub with cold water to the small level

then warm to medium or normal water level

and opposite for medium water temp

I use to do this before I got a tempering valve. Alternate the water temps until you get around 80F-85F. Add clothes and detergent in after the temp range is in that window.

Easy to do with the tankless and the machines in the bathroom connected to the tub faucet.  Any temp from tap cold to what the unit can muster-up on a hot-only flow, setpoint range of 50°F to 140°F.  Did shirts today at 112°F in the AquaSmart there.
