small Question about my whirlpool duet washer

hello everyone,

i have a small question about my whirpool duet washer model number ghw9150pw0 serial number css 1710194 everytime i do a washe load that needs the delicate cycle or hand wash cycle i notice that it skip the first spin and starts to fill for the First rinse and spins only at the final spins is this normal or is it a defect with the controls when i use these 2 cycles?

Many frontloaders do not spin after the wash and between rinses on the Perm-Press, Delicate and Handwash cycles.

Most of the newer programs,especialy on the front loading or HE (high eficiency) washers have no spin until after their final rinse. This is to keep delicate's and/or hand washable's ware and tare to a minimum.I have a friend in Florida who owns a vintage clothing shop who uses hers for leather jackets,shoes,pruses and wallets.Cold wash/cold rinse and a wash with two rinses.

My L.G had what was called a "Quick Cycle"where I would set the fabric and the QC button bringing the cycle down from a 120 minute to 33 minute cycle where it washed for 8 minutes then had two rinses with no spin in between.The final spin was 3 mintes and self ballancig.

When I use the Perm. Press cycle on my Frigidaire there is no spin after the wash cycle. I suppose it's the same on the Delicate, and Wool cycles as well.

Does the Duet fill up half door on delicates ?

Anyway it's normal not to have interim spins on delicates (curtains, silk ....)

I.e silk can be spun at low speed only (400 rpm)

Wool can't stand tumbling when wet, yet it is spin-proof. Euro FL usually spin it @ 1200 rpm , anyway without pulses

Linen and polyester/nylon are strong fabrics, yet they require more place to tumble frrely, a cool down of the wash bath and pulse spins to avoid crease set up

20 y.o. italian made Bendix (Philco) had interim spins between each bath even on wool cycle. My old miele of the same age doesn't, has them only on cottons.

Latest mieles have interim spins in cottons, perma press, express, darks, woolens handwash. they haven't on silk handwash, delicates, dress shirts, denim, duvets.
In the outerwear/raincoats cycle they oddly have a spin after the wash drain, but haven't any spin between rinses
