the D&M brothel...

LOL! So I have learned from this forum that the horrible POS approximately 1972 Kenmore dishwasher that replaced our awesome 1952 Kitchen Aid was a D&M dressed up as a Kenmore. I guess my parents, as many other customers, presumed that with the great Kenmore (Whirlpool) washers and dryers, they would add a Kenmore dishwasher. And it was awful. My parents replaced the Kitchen Aid because after about 20 years of use, the racks were rusting and it was leaking... but running and cleaning just fine. They bought a new Kenmore. And kept renewing the service contract because over time Sears must have replaced every part on that thing... at least two or three times. Until it finally was too much of a hassle and they finally replaced it (with a new Kitchen Aid) after no more than five years. I think that was still there when my mother sold the house in the early 90s.
