Well I just got a solar powered gable fan (10watt panel) at home depot. Had been looking at them on the internet and trying to find info about them. One website was saying that a 20 watt panel would increase the cfm. So, I bought a 20 watt panel and used it instead of the 10watt panel = no difference. So looked some more info up and found some info that said that woltage and rpm are linear on brushless dc motors, so hooked 2 10 watt panels in series which should double the voltage and - no change. Even hooked the 20 watt panel in and still no difference. So anybody have a clue as to why either configuration did not increase the fan speed? Anybody else using these solar attic ventilators? Should get them installed this weekend sometime. Will post some pics later on.
