Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Yes, they certainly do. Westy & DADoES, you have very good memories! However, I must say that appliance.com (where I saw them and created a link to) is notorious for not showing a picture of the actual machines they're talking about. On the other hand, if their picture of the $7K KitchenAids was accurate, it's probably this company that makes them, eh?

No, they are not KitchenAid machines.

American Dryer Corporation (ADC) has been making commercial laundry appliances for ages. The Solaris line is marketed towards bed/breakfasts, small hotels, upscale residences and anyone else whom wants to process large amounts of laundry using state of the art commercial machines. If one goes to American Dryer Corporation's website you can find the machines.

This is the second listing of these units, first time around bidding though reaching mid to low thousands, did not meet the reserve. Had my eye on the set, but really only have room for the washer, and that would be a squeeze. Still they are nice units.

Whisper Quiet Ultima?

"Whisper Quiet Ultima" as used in the add is a registered trademark of Kitchenaid/Whirlpool. The interior of the washer looks amazingly like my duet in a stainless tux.

Hmmmm....

ADC introduced the Solaris line at the Clean 2003 show. Since then, they have been extensively field tested and are now catching on line wildfire for commercial and coin-op use. I have no idea who makes the washer for them, but I'd stake my reputation (no comments from the peanut gallery please) that it is definitely NOT WP/KA/Blauchnect since this is a commercial washer.

As far as the seller "accstore", I believe it is American Credit Corp, the financing branch of ADC. Looks to me like they are selling off machines used in the R&D for the Solaris.

Interestingly, I recieved a phone call from ADC following up on an inquiry I sent them on another matter. I'll call them today and try to get more info.

Has anyone been able to find info about the $7000 KitchenAid stainless steel laundry pair? I keep checking their site and I'm not able to find anything. I thought they might be hiding it on their Pro-Line page, but it's not there, either.

The only place I've ever heard of these is at Appliance.com

Talk about classy looking machines! These take the cake when it comes to a nice looking modern machine. I bet they do a nice job too!

Solaris on Web?

I can't seem to find any information on this Saolaris pair on the web either. Nothing on the ADC site at all, the I can find. Anyone had better luck?

ADC/Solaris and rebadged

PeterH770,

ADC makes dryers under there own name then slaps a Maytag, Continental Girbau, and MILNOR lables on others.

I work for a MILNOR distributor and carry ADC under its own name and the MILNOR Line. I too was at Clean 2003 and 2005. I have sold 3 Solaris dryers since there debute. I'm holding off before I bid out another one becasue they have been plagued by problems.

Although everytime I sell a MILNOR washer/extractor...I would love to sell a MILNOR dryer.....I sell a HUEBSCH instead becasue I can sell it, start it up and walk away and not be plagued by warranty calls.

In some ADC/MILNOR dryers with capacities above 75lbs, they have elimitated the Trunnion (Spider, Drum Support) and replaced it with rubber wheels on which the cylinder rides on. These wheels have about a 3 year life span at which time they warp, take a heat set or slip. At $500.00 - $800.00 a piece to replace makes for some very unsatisfied customers.

Still no info.

I have been to www.amdry.com but there is nothing on the web about this washer and dryer. They have information on the coin op dryer but not this model. Am I missing something?
