Tony and I made a trip to see MarkLightedControls, his partner Gary, Steve (Gyrofoam) and Robert from Roanoke. As always, the experiences we have had with these guys are so much fun. Too bad I can't take any machines with me to Portland but I did get some very cool parts. I just thought you guys would appreciate some of the pics.

In this picture is a "Flo-Through Dryer" blower that I stripped off of an InSinkerator Dishwasher that Mark is scrapping. This will go on my KDS-19 since that one doesn't work.

The two belts are the drive and pump belts for a 1970's Maytag washer that Tony's mom gave us. Should run good as new with those new belts. There is also a NIP Maytag tall-tub filter/FS dispenser. Mother-in-law cracked the original one by hitting it against her concrete sink to clean it. Not a good idea. :-)

On the right is, of course, an agitator column for a 1963 Frigidaire washer. This part went to a very excited Pdub in Portland who has the washer but was missing that rare cap.

GE Dryer Control Panel

This was the find that I was particularly excited about. As you know I have a GE pair that I will be restoring soon. My dryer panel was in rather poor condition. The light lense was broken probably due to someone gripping it when moving it.

Wouldn't You know...

In the stacks of various things in Mark's warehouse I came across a white top and control panel that is the exact model of my dryer. I was so excited to be going home with this very nice and flawless panel. Switch out the white parts with my green ones and it will look good as new!

Thanks so much for everything Mark!

Jon-

Thank you again for keeping me in mind on your treasure hunt. That cap really puts the finishing touch on the 63 Imperial. It truly is a brand new / never used cap. Looking forward to seeing you soon.

Consoles

Oh my gosh Robert has some incredible stereos there! Trust me I really did want a few of them there. Tony did get a cool little record player though. It's just overwhelming the amount and the quality of stuff in that warehouse.

The company is equally incredible. Mark and Gary are wonderful guys. We met Steve a year ago in Tucson and just a wonderful person to get to know. Robert isn't on this site but he has an incredible knowledge of appliances. He can answer any and EVERY question involving parts and repairs. Some incredible people out in south VA. It's definitely worth the trip for anyone!!!

(I even forgot to mention that Mark GAVE me a wash basket to replace my rusty one in my V-16 GE washer. What a guy!!!)

Very true! I didn't even realize there was no air fluff cycle on this dryer but it appears you are correct. At least the Westinghouse dryer is right next to it and it air fluffs. :-) You didn't honestly think I'd have ONLY one dryer did you??? hehe
