Washing Machine, older Hotpoint. Works! - $100

Older basic Hotpoint washing machine. Works.  Selling because we purchased a larger machine

************************************************************************************************************

I never knew Hotpoint washers of this time had solid tubs. Im guessing they must have consequently used quite a bit less water than their GE Filter Flo cousins because they didn't have to also fill the outer tub?

I like the '55 GE fridge too, but probably not $300 worth.   The yellow interior does seem to work best with a yellow exterior.

The thing to consider with the '55 is that it requires extra room behind it for the rear-mount condenser as well as on the hinged side so the door can swing open at least 90 degrees.  The '57-and-later 2-door Combinations had clean backs, shoulder hinges, and were counter depth so they could be shoehorned into an opening for a built-in look.

Hotpoint Washer

That Hotpoint is what I'm using now, and as long as I can keep it running, or keep a similar machine, I will NEVER buy anything new, it is WONDERFUL!

That Hotpoint is not a solid-tub machine. The image is so dark you just do not see the holes. The filter-ring, however, is quite visible.
The solid-tub machines had side-opening lids. I think the first of the perf-tub machines did too as they used up the old cabinet parts.

Considering that Hot Point washers were GE clones I figured it should be a perforated tub. But no matter how much I studied the picture I couldn't see any holes.
