Some Kenmores and Whirlpools need new homes...

Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

Mustang - I am going to do some cataloging at the warehouse either tomorrow or Sunday and have a little time. I will e-mail you when I get home from the gym tonight. I cannot check hotmail at work, and was not online last night.

Thanks

Thats cool,
Hey what is the machine in your avetar symble ? What's the year and model? Do you have any of those?

Love RevvinKevin's response -- I, too, have done similar trips. 11 hours one-way from Eureka to Tacoma to get my coveted 64 Norge set (but traded a 74 coppertone Frigidaire 1-18 set for it) and 5 hours to/from Eugene, OR to get my turquoise '65 Whirlpool set, 5 hours to/from Sacramento to get my late 70s harvest gold GE set...you get the idea...Kevin and I must have been truck drivers in a previous life!

The truck rental thing is an economical substitute instead of having someone ship the machine(s) to you if you are within a reasonable distance to get what you want.

I do own a truck, but wish it had a lift gate! :)

Thanks for the the Call Gordon!

Good talking to you tonight ... we will have to do that again soon!
Thanks for all the info! Washers forever! LOL

Let's find an appliance graveyard soon! Road trip!

Good luck with the sales Gordon. I am sure you will find owners for every one of them, and not have to think about sending any to that awful thing I shall not mention.

This is the 1967 concealed console set which I mentioned. The dryer is pristine and hardly used. Washer needs a loving touch of a good BD servicer.

I have had the washer since 1993 and it has never been wiped down. Pardon it's unkempt appearance...

This is a general view of "The Whirlpool room". As I mentioned before, I want only one or maybe two of these. Rest can go...

Some of the machines have stuck leveling legs, no issues there.

This machine is likely sold too, but I've never shared it on the site before, only because it was in storage and difficult to access. This is a 1965 Whirlpool. It came in the same lot as the '67 Kenmore and I've had it since 1993. It was filthy then and still is.

I like the bakelite Surgilator, the minty basket, and the magic mix filter. This machine has a short in it somewhere, I suspect the timer. Looks very low mileage.

As I said, it is likely already moving to a new home.
