I think it's because you can't get the thermostats separately, which is probably 99/100 of the reason why they are changed. Most likely failed due to lack of airflow, too much washing in the drum / filters / clogged condenser etc.
I'm sure in your safe hands it will be fine =)

We have sold lots & lots of Candy Smart & Grando Dryers for years Tom & we have never had one single problem with the heating elements failing or customers coming in ordering replacement heaters.

what is also comforting to knwo is that 3 people had dryers from a bad batch, one customer complained saying that the drum had shredded the washing and candy sent them a free replacement and took the old one away
there are lots of positive reviews for the GOV580V and they look relly cool with the full moon door

Well all i can say is that we sell Hoover/Candy Dryers and we don't have any problems that we know of

I think they are much improved since the disasters of the original performa / six series which saw the drums breaking at the rear perforations.

my cousin said that i cant have it (typical) because she is going to stack it ontop of her washer, so ive scrimped together some of my birthday money that ive been saving up and i orderd one, its comming on friday

its very very fast, it can dry a full 8KG load on the "bone dry" setting in 60-30 mins and the load will be 100% dry with no damp patches
