Just so you know I haven't been resting on my laurels these past couple of months I have found a few little items of minor interest.

These two lovely telephones. One being the chest phone that I can't remember when they came out..in the late 70's I think and this bright yellow ITT desk set with the 4 prong plug in. I don't have a 4 prong to mini jack adaptor so haven't tried it out yet. I think it's a rather a cheery color for 2 bucks.

The chest phone will probably migrate to the living room.

And this wonderful $7 or was it $5 Electrolux floor polisher shown alongside my matching Electrolux ZB88 (both circa 1957-63). I think it's scrubalicious. More info also on the Vac site.

Very nice, Pete!

I'm keeping my eyes open for a 'Lux floor polisher, what a great deal you got!

I remember as a kid, looking at the ads for those chest-phones. I've found a few at sales and need to do a little work on them - I love a phone that rings with a real bell!

Veg, the Canadian Electroluxes were somewhat different than their US counterparts not just in color but the design was also altered a bit. Hoovers were basically identical to the US version but I think the color scheme/years were altered. It still happens that our versions of things will be slightly modified, like all stoves here still have the appliance outlets. The reason I've heard that they were discontinued on the same stove sold in the US is that rather than upgrade them with the added breaker protection on the outlets they discontinued the feature.

Phones

Pete I have several phone jacks in my house that would accomodate the plug on that yellow phone.

I agree with Greg, a phone with a real bell is a treasure to enjoy!
