Nice Constances

Love the lime green one esp. With all those new small electrics, you don't have room for the Avocado Mixmaster;
I will lovingly store it for you. I have the same Sunbeam
Hand Mixer in Bethann!!!!

Here's the avocado full size mixmaster, these are great for when you have a huge amount of taters to mash right in the pot by removing it from the stand. I never do it in the mixer bowls, too much gets flung on the walls.

Harvest Gold

Here's a harvest gold early '70s General Electric mixer, with box, a possible unused store stock G.E. can opener/ice crusher with tag, no box. Mixer has its box and had its drink scrambler and booklet before I went into hospital and rehab. No collectors were in my house for the duration. There is a Westinghouse "Ovation" Melmac tray on my "new" G.E. microwave. Unfortunately, everything looks yellow because of the flourescent light and strange camera.

YES! The real fullsize MixMaster-My Mom and Grandmother had those-The real treat was helping them use the machine to fix up those "to Die for" Chocolate cakes-and lick the beaters when you were done!!and the bowel too!Don't know why Sunbeams are so scarce around here?Oh well more yard sales to go too!Maybe will luck into one-Had a neewer one a while ago got rid of it when I got a KA-should have kept the Sunbeam-feel the Sunbeams do better for batters and frostings.Maybe my Stepmom still has hers-will have to ask her to send it out to me.It was an older one like mom and Grandmom had.All were white.

1955 Oster

I have this sweet chrome Oster beehive blender I picked up in our Hospice Thrift Store for around $27.00 last year. It has its original cookbook with it.

way cool

Must be a TON of fun at your house with all those great retro gadgets you have. Thanks for sharing the pics with us!

Those GE handmixers are very nice as well, very well styled I think.. they came as handmixers and standmixers as well. The standmixer model will have a metal clamp think on the bottom but you can use them as hand mixers all the same. I got one the other day at Value Village in yellow. The blue and green ones aren't so easy to find.

Here's a pic, still works like new.. And that's a Braun Juicer next to it when they were still made in West Germany.

Wow, Pete! Between you and Dan, I'm drooling over the weekend finds! Love that Van Wyck can opener. Some of their products had really interesting designs.

fwiw Van Wyck small appliances were pretty much the el cheapo brand of the time. That can opener was made in Hong Kong while the good stuff from Oster, Hoover, Sunbeam etc was still being made over here. They sold mainly in discount Kmart type stores and/or catalogs sometimes alongside the pricier domestic made. Still in all it's quite robust feeling certainly feels more solid than the made in China stuff on the shelves today.. ie Walmarts Duracraft line
