Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

this may have been a 1961 model dishwasher.  I don't think it's the BOL, the arrangement of the air vents versus the lip you grabbed onto to pull out the drawer.  Also the little atomic type symbol on the upper from left of the dishwasher.

Go for it Hans.  They look well cared for and not "well-loved".

Really like the refrigerator; cooktop and oven nice, too.

I'm thinking they are '60 or '61 models as Bob mentioned. The oven has the smaller window, which was only in the earliest versions of them. Also, the hood with controls is an early version. My cousins had the cooktop with hood mounted controls put in when they did the kitchen over in '63, and it was the later type.

It looks like the whole kitchen is from 1960's product line. The dishwasher is a "Princess 24"; it's technically the MOL. It is the same model as the original Princess, now the BOL, except it features a "Power Shower". GE styled the exterior to mimic the TOL "Custom-4 Cycle".  Nice machine.

My exact dishwasher growing up. That is the machine that started it for me.

Yibbles now and then even with the Power Shower. My Mom was envy of the neighborhood when the wives on our street saw the GE Box at the curb on Trash Day.

Did anyone on here get these? I was outbid, and our internet went out when there was only a couple minutes left. By the time I could log in on my phone, it was over. I figure that was the universe trying to tell me that I didn't need more appliances :-D

All Circuits Busy

I was "watching" this auction just to see how high things might go.  Looks like a seasoned sniper came in with five seconds left and snatched it from persistent outbidder "e***t."

I can't imagine spending that kind of money for appliances that old and worn. There have been many improvements since then. New stuff is much nicer and turquoise paint is cheap.
