Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

common sense

I am going to stick with my own common sense. To preserve color, I just use cold water with dark jeans. I've never washed them inside out and they came out just fine. As for the dryer, I found that the heavy duty cycle wasn't necessary as the normal cycle provides a happy medium.
I won't let anyone try to council me on how to wash. I know what I'm doing. I can use the normal cotton wash and adjust the machine to cold, using a heavy duty laundry detergent and still look presentable. Medium heat on the dryer is just over 140 degrees fahrenheit with optimal results. Although jeans are slightly damp around the very edges, I am okay with it. They still have plenty of life and don't need to be bone dry.

Well all I know is...

I’ve got the look they want to know better. I’ve got the look that’s all together. Working...playing...day or night; Jordache has the fit that’s right. The Jordache look!

Then I do a fast hip twirl with my arms raised.

But are we sure this is real?

Articles like this about "do not wash you jeans" appear and re-appear periodically over the net (I have also found them badly translated from English to other languages) but they seem to me to typical "click bait".

The history of jeans (or any other piece of clothes, for what that matters) is centuries old and nobody has ever had any problem washing them according to their personal preferences.

So, since when washing jeans has become a thing? Maybe since when someone needed to fill a web page at the lowest price?

That's one thing I hated about living in California.

There so smug about smelling like crap because they didn't use deodorant and didn't bath everyday to

save the planet or wash there clothes. They would cover up BO smell with Petula , which is the most disgusting smell in the world but when you combine it with BO . I would gag it takes your breath away.

I am all for conserving and being responsible but they take it tooo far and if you are not a smelling like shit vegan, who recycles there water then your basically a animal and beneath them.

They didn't like me much anyway because, I am a from the south and they think we are stuck in the dark ages,

I wash my clothes after every wear , I can't help it is a complex .

I’d agree with the common sense line. You don’t need to wash jeans every time you wear them, but you do need to wash them as needed and certainly after a few wears. It depends on what you’ve been doing, how sweaty you are and so on. You’re absolutely not going to have BO from wearing jeans twice.

There’s also lot to be said for wearing jeans maybe twice or so, but not on consecutive days.

I never wear T-shirts or shirts more than one day tbh. It has happened when I was on holidays and had no luggage but it’s definitely not ideal.

Also you really don’t need to run most things though very heavy washes. It wears them out more quickly and fades colours. For most things, a colour detergent and lightly loaded short, relatively cool wash is fine.

The main thing I’ve found is just don’t tumble dry T-shirts. I hang them on plastic hangers, spaced apart on a washing line in a covered area of my back yard. They dry in a couple of hours and they wrinkle free, smell great and don’t lose shape or length.

If you’ve smelly socks after a short wash, I would suggest you need to alternate your shoes a lot more. You shouldn’t really wear the same shoes every day for multiple days. It’s better to switch and air them out. Most smelly sock issues come from that source. Also don’t wear shoes all day. Let your feet breath. Odours mean there’s a runaway bacteria or fungus issue and that’s definitely footwear related.
