There was noise out in the front, and I investigated.

A plumbing company is replacing the gas line to the building today.

My dear landlord put a notice in the mailbox this morning. For work being done today.

No heat (and it's 33F), no hot water--if I drain the tank (a shower or ONE load of wash would do it!), and no dryer.

I am halfway tempted to go back to the hospital!

I hope my sweet Veg comes fully equipt with a mortgage! If he's another renter, there's some tall talking to be done.

Sometimes the concept of paying a fortune to Ohio Edison doesn't seem quite as awful. Or perhaps having back up electric heat, hot water, and dryer....

Grumpily yours,

Why, yes...

I do have a mortgage! Finally got off my butt a couple of years ago and bought a condo. It'll be 2 years on the 25th (I think) that we moved in.

The laundry room is rather small, I'm afraid. And pretty full with the Frigidaires and the freezer.

Gas heat, cooking, and hot water. And the building's only 5 years old, so there will be no likely gas line replacements.

Would this be considered my dowry?

Yes, it is

your dowry!

The wedding is still on.

Love and laughter!

(We'll have to make room somewhere for my Maytags. May-be in a bedroom, like Lavamat_Jon.)

PS: The GAS is back ON!

Intriguing...

Hmmm. Maytags in the bedroom.

Well, there'll be lots of steam and thrashing and rollover.

And then we can do a load of laundry ;)
