Thanks for that. It's such a shame its so far away from me. I would have definately bought this.

My neighbour had one of these and it lasted years and was so quiet. What I like about this one is that the dial settings are behind clear plastic and therefore cannot be rubbed off. I know print fading was a problem with later machines.

these machines are fantastic! I love the high water levels on them too. The drum was rather low on some zanussi models...anyone know why?

The 930 series was the Zanussi's MOL series IIRC. The 910 series were the BOL and then there was a series with a separate temp. control. The TOL model had an extra door. Nice machines, but I never liked the dark control panels.

My first post in this bit!

My Nan had one just like this (early 1980s, too). Lovely, quiet, calm machine that lasted for years and years. I think it would capable of going into a full spin (only 500-600rpm then) instantly. I still have the guarantee cards, etc., here.

It lasted from 1980 until she replaced it in 1991. I picked the replacement, which was a Jetsystem!
