Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

Jon I am so sorry to see what you are going through. Had the weather channel on this morning and saw what was happening and thought of you. I am sending you dry thoughts and wishes as well!! Terry

ouch

be careful standing in water and using electricity, LOL ...... gheez Jon, get out the dingy ..........

I remember our basement in Connecticut would flood every few years. I remember the spare fridge was on a concrete riser, as well as the Bendix bolt down washer. Usually it looked like no more than about six inches of water, but that was enough to keep me out of there.

That's awful, I'd be feeling sick about it myself. Eons ago when I was small we moved into a house that had that problem. Ended up my dad with a pick axe smashing thru the concrete floor and installing a sump pump but I think we still had some minor floods even with that.

Yes, but

Will your heart go on?

I sincerely hope it gets no worse, Jon.

Maybe you COULD use a suds saver as an additional pump in return mode!

Warm, dry thoughts-

Wow Jon, I didn't realize what has been going on in Mass. until now...scary! I'm glad the machines are above the water and out of the way. You and Aloysius need to stay safe and out of the water. I can't think of a more dangerous situation than using an electrical appliance (especially one running on 240V) while standing in a pretty big puddle of water...even if it is grounded, you never know!

Next picture I expect to see is the kitchen GE combo running...;-)

In the background

Leave it me to miss the forest for the trees.

In the second picture, I can see a vintage Revere Ware Pressure cooker sitting on the Frigidaire 18lb coppertone washer in the background.

They RW pressure cooker is one of the best designs I ever used.

When he was in high school, my son came from school for lunch.

He looked in the cupboard and found a pan. The Revere Ware pressure cooker.

He put the pan on the Heat Minder burner of the Custom Imperial Flair Range and added some hot dogs and water.

I came home around 5:00pm to the strangest smell. Cremated hot dogs and molten copper.

The range came through just fine, the pan did not.

Hope your basement dries with out the smell of cremated hot dogs or a musty afterglow.

Kelly
