Speaking of 1-18's.....

I picked up this gem Friday. Model WSD/71EM 8569 tells me it's a 1977, in captivating Avocado. Nice shape, no major rust on the cabinet or anything.
I have no need for this one, but saved it from the scrapyard. I have $30.00 in it, I would like to get that back.

Under the hood. Missing the dispenser cup on the agitator, but other than that, it seems to be all there. I haven't plugged it in, or even taken the front off. Anyone interested for $30.00, as is? One caveat, I have NO room for storage, it must be picked up in South Bend IN, within the next couple of weeks. Let me know.

Boy that tells one a lot!

When I started in this hobby 1-18's were still in use by the "unknowing population" and were available in every junkpile from here to Californ-i-aye. Now one has to ship a unit from Indiana to CA to get one.

They are getting scarecer and sacrecer I guess.

Shipped from Indiana to PA...Have never seen on Craigs list or in my local haunts...Am learning that there are a few better haunts, so maybe...

FYI - am having an 806 shipped from CA to PA - whatcha think about that...And in all honesty we have TONS of 'tags around here, but the best I have ever seen is a 606. OH and one set of 900's that I should have bought, but was too stupid at the time.

A few years ago, I shipped an Avocado 806 Maytag from here to San Diego. Seems like it was $300.00 or more, at that time.
