If anyone here would have ANY interest in a 1968 Walnut Hi-Fi with a Packard-Bell tuner amplifier and Girard turntable, I know where there is one that could be HAD for the trouble of picking it up just outside of the Twin Cities Metro.  Here's a picture of it from my childhood.  It's in storage at my brother's house down by Red Wing.

And yes, that is yours truly at about 20 months.

AND...for the pure GEEK factor here's another pic from about 1978.  Yours truly would have been about 8 here.  I soon grew tired of "The Fonz" record player and went back to the Girard turntable. :)

Mark,

Do you think its Teak? The style have a very similar appearance to much of the MCM Scandinavian furniture we owned when I was young.

Also I assume this is solid state, by '68 it would likely be.

Personally I have little interest in consoles, but this one looks pretty cool. I'm also not much of a fan of solid state electronics prior to about the late 70's.

It's really a classic design - very similar to the Zenith tv/phono/radio console my dad bought in the late 1960's, with the same Danish modern support leg architecture. I'm glad I'm not nearby or your brother would gain some space.
