Recently I discovered an old favorite, Hanson's Natural Sodas, now are sweetened with cane sugar, not corn syrup.
That was good enough, but as I was about to get another case of the stuff, I noticed a 28 pack of 12 oz glass bottles of Crystal Geyser "Juice Squeeze". At about $.44 bottle, it's roughly $.15 more per bottle than the average soda. On the other hand, it's 70% real juice, with no added sweeteners, preservatives, brominated vegetable oil, caffeine, or artificial coloring. Plug the drinks come in a pleasing variety of flavors. Haven't found one yet I didn't like better than soda. It is "lightly carbonated" but not overwhelmingly so.
The primary juice seems to be white grape, but it's unobtrusive (unlike concord grape juice) and well balanced with flavors like pomegranite, cherry, berry, grapefruit, etc.
To top it off, most of the flavors (if not all) are boosted with 40% of the RDA of vitamin B12 and Niacin.
My fling with Mexican coke, Pepsi Throwback, and Pepsi Natural is probably over and done with...
