I bought one of my dream cars today a 1993 Buick Roadmaster It belonged to a friends brother in law that died clean as a pin 66 k on here nicknamed Estelle light charcoal gray navy velour interior a sweet gem always wanted one hope My Park Avenue doesnt get jealous

Be Quiet!!

When the Roadmaster first came out Consumer Report downrated it for being "eerliy quiet and insulating the driver from the raod". Hello!! It's a luxury car. I am anxious to see pictures of it and hope it is as fun to drive as it is easy on the eye.

Your baby is beautiful, I love her.

I almost landed me one a few weeks ago(1995 with 38k, loaded, $3500) but I was a little late. There are still a few around here, mostly the Estate wagons. Someday I will have one of my on, hopefully burgandy with whire hubcaps.

Take care of her and keep her forever.

Sam

Hey Dynaflow

Congrats on the Beauty! Best car you'll ever own. I happen to have on of here cousins. Can't beat these old GM's for space, power and a smooth as silk ride! Love the name Estelle, fits her good! My baby's name is Clarisse.

Clarisse the Caprice

My neighbor Betty has one that looks almost like yours, except hers is a later model with the full round rear wheel openings. My mom's last car was a '91 Caprice Classic in the Red Maple color. My dad used it until his death in '98, and then my sister's mother-in-law bought it, and drove it for a few years until one day she pulled out in front of a Ford Mustang, and was hit in the side. Luckily, she wasn't hurt, but the car had over $10,000 damage, so was totaled. They said she would have likely been badly hurt or worse had she been in a smaller car. The kid driving the Mustang had to be taken away in an ambulance, and his car was demolished. She hated to see that car go as she liked it quite well.

Awwwww :(

Yeah 91 & 92 were the only 2 years to have the skirted rear fenders. Except for the Wagon, they continued to have them til they were discontinued completely. Sorry to hear about the 91, at least she was able to walk away from that wreck, but sucks that the car was a loss. Mine is a 92 and I love it. They don't make them like this anymore, which is sad. I was heart broken when GM decided to discontinue their full size, rear wheel drive, V-8 powered sedans. And I see them ALL over the place now.

REAL cars!

I love those REAL cars. Not these poor excuses for a 'full size sedan' today.

I read somewhere that the 94-96 Cadillac Fleetwood sedans were built on the Caprice/Roadmaster platform. If you choose to believe it or not, those Fleetwoods were the longest production cars made in the US. The Caprice and Roadmaster can't be too far behind.

It's too bad Oldsmobile didn't make a sedan out of it. I suppose in a way they did. They had the Ninety-Eight sedan, but it wasn't built on the Caprice platform. In my opinion, it wasn't as attractive as the Caprice/Roadmaster. They did have the Caprice-body wagon called Custom Cruiser though.

It makes me want to get a Caprice/Roadmaster/Fleetwood.

You're right Tim......

And actually they started sharing the same platform with the Caddy in 93. That's when they stopped the Brougham and just made the Fleetwood/Fleetwood Broughams. And it was the longest car in production during those years at 225 inches long. The Roadmaster sedan was 215.8 inches long and the Caprice was 214.1. Second to the Fleetwood in length was the Lincoln Town Car at 218.9 I doubt I'll ever buy a brand new car. I'll stick to my gas guzzling tanks lol. Although, believe it or not, they didn't do that bad on gas despite what Consumer Reports or even most of the general public think!
