Problem:
* Speed Queen AWN432 halts while or stops spinning and seeking diagnostic assistance.
History:
* Bought it, within a year or two an overloaded load likely snapped the belt and the washer smoked. Tech came by a few times, unsure if the motor was replaced as they did not discuss with me.
Current:
* Clothes much wetter than I'd remembered, noticed slow or not spinning tub.
* Opened it up, saw a worn belt with some shredding, and a LOT of powdered or smokey rubber around (likely not cleaned up from original repair.)
* How it looks when agitating (seems stilted and slippy with the belt)
* Replaced already
o Whirlpool 201566P Washer Drain Pump
o Alliance Laundry Systems 959P3 Idler Lever Kit
o Belt, Idler bracket/pulley, spring
Where I'm at now:
* Found a sock between top of inner / outer tub, but removing did not resolve difficulty spinning
* Haven't yet pulled the idler bracket + spring to see if it speeds up
* I've attached an image of the motor pulley, the metal looks unfinished or scraped, perhaps it could introduce friction and slippage on the belt, eventually shredding along the way
* Unsure where I should go next with examination and parts replacement
1) Should I disassemble the tub to check for stuck socks? Drainage is fine.
2) Could there be other transmission concerns, sticky bearings or brake?
3) Could there be a tub seal issue as well causing friction?
4) Are there any motor concerns I ought to be aware of?
Mine is just over the 3 year warranty so I'd love to know the most common things to check without field stripping the entire dang thing, happy to capture more video of the operation.
I bought this thing for sustainability under the impression that less moving parts would less hassle for service and it's been frustrating even in the short term.
THANK YOU!
