Does the above SQ have a filter for incoming hot water that can get clogged? If so, where is it (Hopefully I could get to it by just taking off the house connection and clean it at the front of the hose)...

Yes
It has one in the inlet to the inlet valve and it may have one in one end of the inlet hose, if you are having a lot of problems in your home with clogged aerators on faucets and shower heads you may want to check these screens, but keep in mind that the hot water fill on this Newer SQ washer is only about 1/3 of the fill rate for the cold fill, so there probably is nothing wrong with the machine.

I checked the one at the inlet valve, and it had some sediment on it, but that didn't fix the issue. I then pulled the hose from the washer side and found a second filter caked with mud. A paper towel and some Q tips later, and hot water flows again for me!
