Got a factory rocker switch from a awn432sp113tw01 parts list. I pinned a wire into the connector on the timer for the R terminal. It is not used from factory but the timer still has the function inside..... Ran it thru the rocker switch and over to the orange wire on the temp selector switch. I was able to put the rocker in the same space as the "Extra Rinse" spot that the newer machines have. This works well for the NORMAL cycles, and the PERM PRESS cycles, however it will not work on the delicate / soak cycles as the timer does not use that terminal during a rinse fill.

Thankfully all the amana / speed queens seem to have the same timer, and the R terminal is always empty.

What do y'all think of this upgrade? This is the first time carving a hole in the front panel. I used to hide on the back...

That is just Splendid!

I know you are tired of me; but that is why I first came to this site...

I thought it would be, all that it is, but especially the 'roddin' and 'moddin' of washers, to make them liike we wanted.

That is a nice addition; similar to mine...That one rocker looks the the ones I got off EPray straight from China.
10 to a bag for not much.

I have a loaner Maytag/Speed Queen I did that similar mod.
Removed the water finger faucet setup, and made the hole square for those type rockers.

I used a digidaire electric pump activated by it to have a drain start when the timer paused after wash/rinse.
It allows nearly 2/3's the water to be pumped out before it start its own spin drain.
The first I plumbed in series, the later ones, I just remove the original pump...works the same, it seems to me.

Anyway, Kudos on that upgrade.

You can also drill very tiny holes in that models control panel under the top portion; then,
run a string of strip LED's on the inside, lining up the leds to the holes...instant unique lighted controls.
Any old Laptop 12v charger powers it on...Also supplies power for guages...Water temp. Spin RPM.

Post Script:
Did you use something like a P-touch labler machine?
That is what I use, both with clear, and white tape for some white models.
Lately, I have been using dog collar tags; at those hunting store with the old 386 computer setups,
they have brass, fake gold, silver and black.
2.00 to have a brass style rectangular (luggage type) plate.

I think the labeler is a Dymo or somthing the is close to that. Question, did vintage washers ever have HOT rinse available? I personally don;t need it, but just wondering.

Not than I am aware...

In commercial laundry, the reason behind most warm rinses was the better removal of detergents, better mixing of fabric softners/conditioners...and extraction of heavy cotton/denim is much greater than with cold.
