Hey guys. I know there has been mentioning of Speed Queen Laundry in 2024 to compete with the major players like Whirlpool and GE. What are the updates? How will it wash and what will it sound like? What are the model numbers going to be? I would like to know more about the Texas Edition coming soon.

I'll know it if I see them

If we are getting new models from SQ this year, then we're not going to know anytime soon until they officially release them. Even if one of us knew, they're probably not supposed to reveal anything yet. If SQ wanted to release some new models, their main focus would be to get rid of their old stock first. Otherwise if somebody did leaked some information without SQ's permission, they'd have a harder time getting rid of their old stock. I remember reading that our webmaster Robert had to remove a thread here on behalf of SQ since somebody posted something that SQ didn't wanted to be shared here. So you'd need to be patient. It's also likely that whatever you've been hearing was false information that we're not getting new models from SQ anytime soon. If you're really anxious to know, I'd suggest you should reach out to SQ yourself as many of us don't work for them.

Honestly, Speed Queen should keep what they have in production. There is no top loading suspension system that comes close to that of a modern day Speed Queen and I doubt anything new could possibly take its place. there gets a point where a design is so well perfected it becomes a timeless classic.

I did you a favor Jerome

I hate to be a bearer of bad news but I got some information to share. I reached out to SQ this week as I was looking to get a quote on a new commercial set for my mom's work, I asked the rep about if SQ is releasing some new residential models out this year and this is what they told me. No new models unfortunately but there was some talk about making a bigger front loader, however nothing has been put into development at least not yet. Even if they were already developing it, it could take a long time perhaps years to make as it'd need to go through proper testing to see if it'd be as well built as their FF7. So I think this thread should come to a closure now.
