Speed Queen Overflowed

My less than 1 year old Speed Queen washer TR7003WN continued to fill the tub and overflowed. Had a tech come out and tell me that there is no way to diagnose the machine if the machine doesn't throw the error code? Does anyone know if this is a true statement? I have search for information on error codes and trouble shooting and found 1 video that shows you how to get into the diagnostic mode on the machine but without the tech manual, I can't do anything else. If anyone has access to the tech manual and would be willing to provide instructions that would be awesome!

I'm not positive the info is correct but I read somewhere that Speed Queen TR (and TC?) models don't store fault codes for later retrieval.  The fault must occur during testing to be seen/confirmed.

Did you catch the machine overflowing ?

 

If yes did turning off the machine or unplugging it stop the flow of water coming in ?, then you have a bad water level sensor.

 

If turning off the machine or unplugging it did not stop the water flow and you had to shut off the water supply you have a bad inlet valve.

 

If you don't know which part caused the problem replace both the inlet valve and WL sensor, the service tech should know this.

What John said plus:

Check the tube that goes to the pressure switch. They can plug up with debris and cause the machine to overflow. I came across this multiple times working in commercial laundry settings

Remove the tube and blow into it if air goes through that is not the problem but if it does not clean out the tube and re-attach. This may solve the problem and save the cost of replacing expensive parts.

wash and rinse

Does this happen on the wash and rinse cycles? If so, what cycle do you typically use? Did it happen on heavy duty?
