Speed Queen TC5000WN weird noise?

Can anyone help me identify what this noise is? I hear it during the wash cycle and first spin. I noticed it a few weeks ago. It doesn't seem to be going away.

I'm not sure. I did put in a service call through the warranty.

You can take the front off and look, or just wait for the warranty service to look at it,

 

in any case keep using it.

Emptying out the pump and rinsing it out seems to have resolved the issue.

Update: Emptying out the pump did not seem to resolve the issue. The SQ service guy looked at the machine and did not find anything wrong with it. He did check out the belt tensioner and found that to be just fine. Issue still persists.

Noise has returned...

Seems to be very prevalent during the first spin. I'm really curious to what this noise is...?

Are you talking about the clicking sound? I had a similar sound with mine, and it was the idler arm moving back and forth because my belt had a bad spot on it from being burnt. But you said he checked the belt. Maybe the belt is defective and out of balance. A new belt would be a quick and easy way to rule this out. The other thing could be the transmission housing moving back and forth during agitation. It is normal for there to be a little bit of play against the brake assembly. The video seems to be during the agitation cycle, not the spin cycle.

Clicking sound

Yes I am referring to the clicking sound. That video was during the drain cycle going into the first spin. It does not seem to make the noise later on during the cycle. SQ said it was fine, of course it didn’t make that kind of noise when he checked it. He did say not to worry about it because everything checked out fine internally. But it still drives my OCD crazy.

Idler pulley mechanism

I’d be 100 percent sure that is the issue. Take off the front of the machine. Just below the motor, to the left you will see and HEAR the idler pulley mechanism making this noise. It’s just metal against metal and nothing harmful to worry about. There is less tension on the belt during a slow spin so therefore the the idler pulley mechanism works differently. On a high speed spin you problem won’t her this noise.

Ok. Thanks. Am I attempting to adjust anything or just confirm that is in fact the noise? You are correct about this issue only being audible on low spin, usually just right after the drain cycle. The machine didn’t always do this though. What made it develop?

Here is a video of the inside. I still can't locate the part you are talking about. This video was shot directly after the drain cycle. It didn't seem to do it here. Maybe because I had the lid off, who knows? Is there anything I can do to resolve this issue on my own? I just need help locating the problematic area.

Yes, in the last video that was my dryer running. The noise isn't as prevalent as in the earlier videos I had posted.
