I recently posted a thread about the Speed Queen washer we have downstairs leaking, and I am now having issues with the timer (the knob actually). When we moved in, the knob had been stripped so that when it was pushed in to turn, it no longer connected with the dial to turn the actual timer, selecting the cycle. You would push the knob in, then turn the actual dial to the cycle, then pull the knob out. One day I started a load and the knob came off in my hand with a long metal stem attached. After some investigation, I superglued the knob onto the dial, and the stem with the knob and dial attached, into their proper places. This worked for about 4 loads, at which time the knob came off in my hand again, leaving me back at square 1.I managed to wiggle the stem back into place enough to pull it out and start the washer, and have left it pulled out, just turning the dial with the lid open, so the motor is not started several times while selecting a cycle. Any idea what I would need to replace? and how much it might cost? Thanks!

Not up on this stuff so this is what I think by the photos.

The stem looks like it use to have a c clip on it if so that should be a easy cheap fix. You would have to open the washer to get to the back side of the timer old c clip could have broke or just came off.
