Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

In comparison to ANY other NEW TOP loader you can buy today, they are far superior! That is, IF you HAVE to get a top loader. Make sure you use the deep rinse or rinse softener selection to get a REAL rinse or you will just get a spray one.

I just got one roughly a month ago. While I had FL'er's for over 14 years, (a SQ FL being way too expensive for me) I really like my SQ TL'er. Even with an indexing tub, the "rollover" is terrific.
However, only time will tell if it's everything it's cracked up to be.

Just installed one at my girlfriends parents house to replace a similar Amana made top load machine. It was a 'requirement' that the machine be a traditional top load deep-fill machine due to the users not wanting to change their habits. In this case it is a pity as they have a septic system and they do a LOT of laundry, the FL would have been a far better choice.

Overall the machine does a great job with little drama. Had to defeat the lid switch, ludicrous that a machine can't fill with the lid open... Other then that the machine is very well constructed, but dated/crude in design. If you are willing to spend the extra money and alter your laundry habits the front load machine will be better in the long run.
