I am just taking it in stride and going along with life..
I told the Highway Patrol man today Merry Christmas and he was quite happy (no i did not get a ticket)

I wish I could say my mouth got me out of a ticket. So far nothing to report.

Although, and I am DEAD serous now, I was in the process of getting a speeding ticket (and I was SO guilty!) when the officer saw an icon of Mother Mary in my wallet, he said "slow down next time" and walked away.
 
At Macy's and Saks' (where I worked for more years than I care to admit, when I was behind the counter, I simply said "Merry Christmas" to whomever I decided was from an ethnic group that celebrated Christmas, or wasn't hostile to the concept of Christmas, and a warm "Enjoy the Holidays" to anyone who didn't fit into either one of those categories.

Never a complaint.

Of course, this was many years ago, when common sense rather than foolishness ruled such dictates over everyday behavior, and people didn't indulge in the tribal hatreds and vengeances that they do now (and if they did, they kept it in their own neighborhoods and kitchens, not in the public sphere...)

I was talking to another member of our group on the my cell phone while out Junkin today (go see my Asko dryer) (yes i did have my ear piece in so i was not holding the phone and driving) and i saw a Mustang rear end a nice Lexus SUV...So thats where i saw the state trooper...

Although i did get out of a ticket once when i actually put my hazards on and immeditaly stopped b4 he even got over there ( I knew he had me, did not have my cruise on, he was clocking people from the oppiste lanes of traffic)
