Last few days have been really nice, nearly in the 50's for a week... Well, a special weather alert was issued all day yesterday saying 'The temps were a welcomed change, but don't let Father Winter fool you -- It is still February, in North Dakota...'

So it rained and snowed during the night.. I have the day off today, and I decided 'what the heck' I'll splurge..

I turned the fireplace above 68 and the electric heaters above 54 on the main level... I didn't want to have to dress up in layers just to sit in the kitchen today.....

It's been another warm day here as well into the 60's and I even saw the parks crew removing some snow fencing by the beach.. Heck we could still get the biggest blast of smpw fpr the year mid to late March..

It got down to 40 during the night/early morning.  The heater came on.  It's now 84 according to some of the weather stations around town.  And it's 75 in the house now.  I'm making a hamburger/noodle/cheese casserole for dinner and will have the oven on.  The A/C will most likely come on like it did yesterday evening--similar scenario.   And the A/C did come on about 4:45 pm, set at 77.

Tim

If you don't mind my asking curious what you paid per gallon for oil on your last delivery. I paid $1.99/gallon last delivery which was around the 11th of January.

54? Wow, that's chilly. I like the house on the cooler side but I'd be shivering.

Unseasonably warm here the last week but that's about to change. Colder and rain changing to snow into Friday AM. I saw some peeks of leaves from the 120 tulips I planted in the fall, about three weeks early and I'm hoping they won't be smushed before they bloom.

Another warm day today, the tulips are up and the frogs are out. The humidity has gone up too. It's cooling Into the 40s-50s from now on but 68° Saturday.

Oil

I paid 1.79 last September and its now 2.09. I have 2-330 gallon tanks and fill them once a year when the price is way down. I normally use around 500 gallons in a year for heat and hot water for 2000 sq. ft. My upstairs living area is set at 64 and never touched until spring and its time to shut it off. And its always quite comfy, but I always am layered up this time of year, so that helps too. So close to me they have Natural Gas and I am hearing this year oil is less. Watch gas will be less next year.
