Across the street from our shop is another. He sells all used and specializes in Whirlpool and Kenmore. He has this portable roll around set there and they've got to be the oldest portables I've ever seen. I thought they were toys at first but after a closer look, they're real enough. Small, too! I hear they're from the 40's. Anybody ever see ones like these before? Who made them?
From the tag...

And yes, that's a hand driven wringer...

WOW, VERY KEWL!!!

Those ARE pretty small! What do they want for them, or are they for sale???

Here is a small WP "table top" washer I am baby sitting, next to my Universal wringer.

YEARS ago, I had a Kenmore like the little Whirlpool in RevvinKevin's pictures. It had no agitator, didn't work, the tranny was long rusted/seized. I had a Whirlpool red bakelite straight-vane agitator that I worked manually in the tub.

Cool!

Well that is just the neatest thing I've seen....ever!

Cool

I'm such a sucker for compact appliances.... :P

Especially vintage, well made ones!

Thanks for sharing
