SQ help please!

One of my friends parents has a SQ Model: AA5421L Serial: R1815686ZJ which dates to September of 1991. It developed a problem last year where it won't balance. He's check the springs, legs, leveled the machine etc. It even does it when it is empty. He sent me a video and the top part of the tub just goes absolutely crazy. I was originally thinking it might need new snubber pads, but I'm wondering if it might be something with the balancing ring. Any help would be appreciated, as they don't want to call anybody for repair.

corrosion on hub probable cause

one of my '84 marathons had that condition when I got it-cause was corrosion had built up between the aluminum hub and the stainless steel tub-causing the tub to wobble.Fix was to remove the tub,clear the corrosion,and reinstall the tub after using a ball peen hammer to straigten the bolt holes.I also had the same condition-and mostly same fix-with a curb-grab 2006 norgetag(plastic tub)-that one also had hole worn in plastic outer tub that needed fixed
