ALL SS SQ FRONT LOAD WASHER AND DRYER
If you buy these for around $1000 that is a great buy, you will not believe how thick the SS is that they used to make these limited edition machines, also the dryer drum and balk head is real SS. If I didn't have so much going on right now I would grab them in a minute.

Yep. These are mine. Although I am really not 100% sure I want to part with these. Would almost rather sell the Miele's and keep the SQ's.

You do realize that even with your 'buy-it-now' price, if someone bids $650 they could get them...
John's comment about getting them for $1000 is made even better if they could be bought for $650! If I'd known you were considering moving them on a year ago, I could have worked out a deal with you instead of putting up with Castleberry's.

There doesn't seem to be interest in them. May just keep them and will the Miele's away. For some reason, I find them easier to part with...

If I were working I would have bought them in an instant and drove from Memphis to pick them up they are a great deal even at 1,000.00 I saw these at a distrbuter here in Memphis and they are wonderful I would so love to have them.If they come up for sale again I may see what I can do to get them.

Yes, the water level was raised. But was lowered back to a close factory setting prior to the machines being listed on eBay. I pulled the ad and decided to sit on them for a couple of months. At which time, I will either put the SQ's back into service and sell the Miele's or relist the SQ's on eBay.

Water level
I was going to ask if you raised the water level. I watched your videos on YT that showed the full wash cycle for the white towels. My owners manual for my Kenmore does not have any information about how much water it uses, so I cant compare them.

Malcolm: It was probably a good call to pull your ebay ad until you're certain which pair you want to keep. That is one damn handsome SQ set! Like you, I don't keep washers for their maximum life span. Some new machine captures my attention and away we go. Kept the 2002 Frigidaire front-loader for 8 years, which is by far the longest a machine has lasted in my laundry room. Dishwashers and washing machines: my kryptonite, LOL.

Sounds like we were cut from the same cloth. Dishwashers, laundry, and cars. If i had to chose a single piece for the rest of my life, I couldn't do it. Gave up trying to collect vintage. That takes an enormous amount of time and effort. While vintage will always hold a soft spot, I prefer to look forward. So many new things coming. Many will flop, but some will be successful.
The Speed Queens are a simple yet elegant design that are rugged enough to handle substantial abuse and keep on chugging along. Every once in a while, I get the itch to return to a top loader. I like the control over each aspect of usage.
I need a stronger support group to help talk me down off the purchase ledge...
