Oil=BAD!
Unlike the Dependable Care Maytag, which is a 'wet' brake, the NorgeTag is a 'dry brake' like a car brake assy. It does not do well with oil. The only way to fix this is to either replace the rotor and clean the stator OR (if you get lucky) gently sand the pads on the rotor to break the glazing and clean the surface of the stator. Problem is, either way you go, the noise stands a good chance of returning. Just like a car brake which squeals a touch. It will function just fine as is and I usually tell the customer that it's not worth the money to correct it when there's a good chance it'll return with usage. I tell them to think of it as a 'end of cycle' signal...
