St. Charles Kitchen in Iowa

Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

Sioux City 1.5 hr drive

A friend here in town was going to email them on the refrigerator - don't know if they heard back yet though.

I love those rounded end units on the cabinets.  I'd change the decor (wallpaper, floor and oh god those curtains!) then the range and dishwasher and enjoy my new St Charles kitchen for another 50 years.

I really can't blame people for wanting a new kitchen, there's nothing as nice in the world as having a brand-new, never used kitchen just the way you want it.

It's hard to know what the cabinets look like inside, often the sink cabinet is crusty and rusted, the drawers are scratched up and don't pull smooth any longer.  There's a hardened lump where the canned oysters leaked and a gooey spot where the bottle of Wesson oil sat.  All this together with the chock-full-of-handy-features display makes an Ikea kitchen look really appealing.

These Are:

The same color St. Charles cabinets I had back in the '80s; the color is called "Pineapple."

These are what were called "C-Line" cabinets - the plain all-steel cabinets.

Greg, if these are late enough, there may be no rust in the undersink cabinet - St. Charles went to putting a stainless-steel floor in those units in response to the problem you mention. My St. Charles kitchen had that feature.

Love yellow, love those cabinets. It must get cold there in Souix City. She's dressed like "Nanook of the North" in her kitchen...unless of course she's going for that Eva Gabor "Snow Queen" look.
