I recently moved into a new apartment in which carpet was added (it used to be just tile flooring).
Anyway, I wasn't paying attention to what I was doing, and got some silicone lubricant (quiet, Toggles
) on one small part of the carpet, and in trying to free some rust off a wheel on my dresser (this thing is old as the hills and is metal), got some WD-40 on another area.
I tried a bit of generic Resolve on the silicone spot, following the instructions on the bottle, but the stain can still be seen. I've yet to try anything on the WD-40 spot yet.
A few times at Dollar Tree, I've seen something called Spot Shot, which can be used on carpets. Is this any good?
Any comments, suggestion or advice on removing these stains will greatly be appreciated.
