Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

Yesterday morning it got down to 23. It was supposed to be colder than that this morning. I will find out later.

Alan, he still is a little kid lol.

The tally is in the Lehigh Valley got 18 inches of snow but Easton said we only get 13 inches. New York City is said to have gotten the most, 27 inches and Boston with 17.5 inches. It is suppose to be around 50 starting Wed here so it will start melting and we will probably have flooding then just like last year.

Here's me wondering why the heck I ever came out west where there isn't any snow.

Damn!, I miss that stuff! I'd go out and play in it like a golden retriever.

I'd trade the risk of an earthquake for the certainty of blizzards any day.

Re. neighbors with their big equipment: all it gains for them is the ability to clear all of it in one pass at the end of the blizzard. You can get the same results with the smaller unit used more frequently, and you can buy two for the price of their one, so you have a backup in case one of them needs to go in for repair.

Turn over already!

...and then of course there were CAR troubles today.

Battery.

Cold climate=> Weak/dying battery can't turn car engine over (the oils are gelled.)

Hot climate=> dies with no warning.

Two hours later Sears put in a new battery and the day resumed to it's regulary scheuled course.

They laugh at my little one.

I can't tell you how comforting it is to be here in blue-collar suburbia. (I guess I will always be a city-slicker).

In suburbia, the size of your power-tools and machinery reigns supreme. [Doesn't this get tired around the 4th or 5th grade?]

I'm in the middle there. I feel so so so so so....diminished!
But I DO fit into much tighter places better.

It is supposed to start snowing here in central WI this afternoon. By the time it is all said and done we should get 8-12" by tomorrow afternoon. We've been told this before over the last couple of months. We only have 6-8" on the ground, normally we should have 24+ inches on the ground in central WI.

Winters finally arrived here, we received about 1/8" of snow and it's in the 20's for daytime high but supposed to be warmed up again by Saturday. Puppies love the snow so once I'm dressed I may venture outside and snap some pics, not that I have to mind you now that I'm retired I can stay in all I want LOL

RE: Post #109161. I guess that it is my turn to eat crow. It started snowing her around 7-7:30am and by the time it is all said and done we should get around 8-12" by this time tomorrow. Schools around here are closing between 12noon & 1pm. My dad is retired from the street dept. here in Wausau and doesn't miss havimg to deal with something like this at all. He drove a snowplow for 20 out his 33yrs. with the city.

Thunderbolt and lightening

here in Chicago this morning, and for a while the look of the sky was quite menacing, like an April or May thunderstorm.
Temps are supposed to drop tonight, and the rain will turn to ice then snow....well supposed to.

I am SO over winter already!

Last night and today were our first absolutely positively frigid days we've had..way down in the minus's, windchill of minus 36. I went out to the car this morning and said forget about it I'm staying in. You'd never know from looking outside because it's so sunny out but just open the door and in the words of my ex boss not mine.. it's colder than a witches t*t out there. lol

Good Day here in Iowa.

We have about 8 inches of new snow here and it is not done yet. You could not see across the street this morning for snow but we also had thunder and lightning as well. Just got back in from using the Snowblower. I have an 81 year old lady that lives on the corner so did her walks and drive as well.

Shorts n Tshirts here

LOL Glenn, isn't THAT the truth. Suppose to change over the weekend and get a frigid HIGH of low 60's...

Stay warm folks!

PS: vinvac, that was nice of you!
