re-decorating that is...
The carpeting got installed today! Here is my room in its "inbetween" state this afternoon.

Yes the carpeting I picked is also a Hoover color.
 
small bedroom

done and vacuumed with my Kirby Ultimate G Diamond Edition.

This will be my guestroom/den/office with the addition of a sleeper sofa, an end table, some lamps, and the computer stuff.
My rebuilt Kirby Classic Omega looks quite nice in here too!

Almost all put back together... getting new carpeting is worse than moving!

I love the way it turned out, and the rooms look so much better with the carpeting.
This Friday February 16 marks the 5th anniversary of my moving in here. Now FINALLY all the flooring from the previous owners is GONE!!
I paid tribute to one of my favorite Hoovers with the colors, the 1070 Convertible from 1969
Here is the vacuum up against the painted walls, and the carpet sample...

I found a sleeper-sofa at JCPenney that I like, and the price is not bad, but alas its BACKORDERED!
I'll get lamps and end tables from Ikea I think.
gotta get thru another month end at work first!

Jeff, that came out fantastic. Perhaps you should change your name to Hoover1070? ;-)

And aren't those Kirby Ultimate Gs awesome? Mine isn't a Diamond Edition unfortunately, but I LOVE it...there's so much power it's unreal, especially on attachment speed. I'm using the HEPA Micron Magic cloth bags similar to Filtrete and they do a great job. If I end up going to Omaha this year, I'm definitely putting it to the test in the Monster Vac contest to see what it can do.

While I still love my Hoovers...

I think the Diamond Kirby is an excellent machine, its only drawback is the weight when its not running. I especially like the super low speed for dusting, and it will sweep my rubber backed throw rugs!
I also like being able to just pop the hose on the front to do the kitchen floor or the furniture. One machine to do it all is very nice!
I use the filtrete bags too, I fill one up about every 3 weeks.
I am sure the Kirby would do pretty well in a cleaning contest too. Have fun with that.

The 1070 is NOT upstairs, namely because it would leave a hole in the line downstairs...
Guess I need to find another one eh?

I am now the owner of a new Miele S548 Champagne with SEB236 powerbrush, a Valentines gift from my BF Michael.
yeah I am definately keeping him!
