Hello!

I'm currently on my summer holiday in the UK and am looking to pick up a few laundry products to take home. I went to Tessco near Gatwick this evening and picked up some Ariel Tabs, Ariel Colour tabs and some Comfort Pure for starters. I have been away from home for 6 days and need to do some laundry tomorrow, so I picked up some basics to get by. I tried to pack as lightly as possible this time, knowing that I would need to do laundry mid-way through my journey.

I leave my hotel near Gatwick tomorrow morning and head up the eastern side of the island to Scotland, and then down the western side of the island back to London to return home on Saturday. I hope to find a decent launderette along the way. I stopped by one here near the airport this evening but it was too near closing time to finish everything before they locked the doors. It was probably for the best as this one was quite dingy and the machines were in poor condition.

I will make a trip to ASDA sometime this week and possibly Sainsburys, so I will have an opportunity to pick up a couple of things before I return home. Does anyone have recommendations on what I should pick up? I love Ariel products, but feel I should branch out a bit. Any store brand products I should consider? Are there differences in the products in England and Scotland, or are they relatively the same?

Hope you are enjoying your visit to the UK so far. Laundry products are pretty much the same all over the UK. There are always deals on at one or more supermarkets, have a look on their websites if you can. I know a few people here big fan's of Aldi's detergent. My favorite just now is Halo Sports, available in Sainsbury's and Tesco.

Anyway, I hope you enjoy the rest of your vacation and look forward to seeing your purchases.
