Watching the History Channel can you answer the questions below...

What century did stuffing first appear?

Which was made first meat stuffing or bread stuffing?

Has Ocean Spray Ever changed the recipe for Cranberry Sauce?

What Year was Stove Top Stuffing Invented-Introduced?

When was Campblles Soup's Green Bean Cassarole invented?

How many estimated portions of Green Bean Cassaroule are served each year?

StoveTop Stuffing

is from around 1976. It's all right, but not a favourite of mine. Sort of like "Minute Rice." I don't buy it, but if a host/ess puts it in front of me, I'll eat it.

Green Bean Casserole is 50 or 51 years old now, (depending on your source.) I happen to love it, but friends who are hosting Monday don't love it, so I will make some for me in February. I add sliced water chestnuts, and another can of onions, and use the reduced sodium mushroom soup. I also add some sliced mushrooms, too.

Happy holidays--

Your right on the Green Bean Cassaroule... 1955!! 51 years old

Speaking of which, while eating (bread-based) stuffing yesterday a friend who just returned from Peru informed me that guinea pigs are the (equivalent of) *chicken* of/in that country. YUM!

Oh boy..... confirmed via web-search!

JOKE:
What is the difference bewteen a northern zoo and a southern zoo (in the U.S of America)? Southern zoos generally have recipes by the displays.
