Strange Bendix

My parents bought the strangest Bendix top loader in the 1940's
that squeezed the clothes dry by vacuum action . Anyone ever see one of these. It did not spin to remove the water. They did not keep it and got a Bendix Gyromatic front loader very good for a long time.
The other weird one was a Norge washer that had Fluid Drive
transmission. I suppose it was like the Chrysler Fluid Drive
I do remember that it leaked. It was bought by my sister around 1950.

The "fluid drive" was a clutch system used in older Speed Queen and Beam manufactured washers. I don't think Norge had it, or maybe used the term "fluid drive" to describe some other function of the machine.

That Bendix squeeze tub isn't quite as strange as the ultra-rare Bendix Power Surge washer...

I don't HAVE to have one...

I'd just be happy to know one exists somewhere. I have the service manual for this Bendix and the design is quite similar to the Philco Automagic design of 1959. I'll bet that giant rubber boot under that disc agitator would be a pain to find or try to recreate...
