and I have an UPGRADE MEMBERSHIP option or command under my Log-Out box. Did I hit something I should not have? I was still able to get into the members only fora. Thank you.

Is your paid period expired? If so, maybe the system threw up an advisory to upgrade/renew but didn't at the same time trigger a log-out to restrict access to the otherwise-forbidden areas.
Try logging-out and re-logging back in Tom. I think Glenn is correct.
Tried that. It did not make a change so I just renewed. Everything seems OK. I just thought that there was a big horn honk and the message "YOUR TIME IS UP" flashing in red. Guess not. Time goes by so quickly on this site.
