sudsing with Tide

I recently switched back to Tide after using Persil for a period. I have noticed that the new bottle of liquid Tide does not create much, if any, suds. (I see this as a good thing) Has anyone else noticed this recently? My washer drains into a laundry sink and I have noticed that the rinse water is clear.....

Yes, I have noticed that the non-HE Tide original liquid that I'm using makes less suds lately, but the water is still slippery, and the clothes still get clean.

I'm glad to see this. The "suds" never had anything to do with cleaning ability. The chemical that made them was added when detergents were new so that those doing laundry could equate the suds level to soap suds when real soap was used. My mom used Dash and All for years because she liked the low/no suds levels in her Unimatic.

what version of Tide is doing that? Powder/Liquid? I'm interested to find out.

So far, I've only bought a bottle of Tide Clean Breeze liquid. Hopefully, all versions are now low sudsing......

Apparently regardless if container says "HE" or no, most if not all laundry detergents offered by P&G are comparatively low suds.

Froth was never necessary for good laundry cleaning. Housewives and others back in day equated suds with cleaning power so P&G obliged.

With front loading or "HE" washers not just a passing fad, but here to say in American market, plus fact due to government mandates water usage keeps decreasing something had to give.

Modern washing machines with sensors don't like froth. It can trigger extra rinses and other things. Also all that froth not only hinders cleaning but requires more rinses.
