Oh Sandy, your last paragraph above gives me hope. Besides the conductor on both trips, I would have jumped on the snack bar guy on the train up, and both of our waiters coming and going.

For someone who appreciates professionalism, I sure do wish it had been lacking on those two trains!

Dan, I'm positive we are talking about the same person...he lives over in Port Orchard with his partner.

He has mentioned several times how many "family members" there are at Amtrak in Seattle

Now that I think about it he introduced me to a couple one time when we were at King St. Station.

I work for a railroad but not really a train fan. We operate freight trains from North Bay, ON north to Moosonee on James Bay and passenger trains from Toronto north to Moosonee.

Cold Showers

Well, from the sounds of things, our cold showers will start tomorrow around noon. Ike's headed up to AR and we're to get around 3 to 5". I know, sounds like my wedding night!

Wedding Night/Saturday Night

Well, OK, we didn't get the 3-5" of rain like they had planned on, we got 6"!

(And lost everything in the fridge, we were without power for about 14 hours.)

Oh, and BTW, I do believe there are some bears and bear admirer's lurking about!

second, reading through this and all the flack going to Lee I was getting somewhat irate thinking the Lee yall were targeting was me. Glad to figure it out that the Lee youre all mad at is Speedqueen something or other. GOd oh how I wish you boys would stick with either your names or your screen names. I couldnt even figure out what the issue was untill I read the entire thread over.

Third, (My pictures in another thread) Well la di da, if you posted it before why not post it again instead of rudely taking up space with text in a picture thread (like Im doing now)

Fourth, can we try this again, a picture thread with the only text being both names and screennames?

Well, you're always going to see text-only posts on a picture thread. If I want to shout out a "woof" to a hot big guy or bear type, I won't be posting my picture each time along with my verbiage. I think you'll agree that some people tend to go overboard with the number of pictures the post of themselves . . .

I know the real name vs. AW handle thing can require a little research though.

I like the idea of seeing a face connected with the person posting ... it matters not if I get a rise in my Levis or not ... perhaps there may be a way to post a pix of ourself in our profiles. (?)

RP2813 has posted a pix of himself on one of these threads ... now it is up to him, when I say WOOF, if I mean it or if I'm just tweaking him ... hint, the former is ok and preferable to ponder ...

I had posted this on the "To Hide or not to Hide" thread but that one appears to have fallen off the list.

Taken a few years ago, the beard is now a s/p goatee but this is one of the few pix of myself that I can stand to look at. The stomach is larger now. Need to see if I can lose a few pounds before Lucky Bear weekend in Vegas next month!
