Okay, I hope this doesnt scare anyone!

Okay, guys, here is one of me taken hastily in the garage with the webcam. Ironically, the hair will be gone for a few weeks as I am undergoing a partial colectomy on Thursday Nov.13th. Since they will definitely be shaving the belly, I will assume they will do the chest too. If they don't I will ask them to so it all grows in together. I still am showing the last remnants of a stress test this past August when they shaved patches for the test leads.
I will out of touch for a few days but will check back in(God willing) as soon as I can.

Steve, that chest should only attract men, not scare them off. That's my opinion, anyway.

Best of luck with your procedure and I'd love to see a shot of your chest after the new pelt has started coming in again!

I'm sure you'll do just fine Steve.

The real pain will be when the hair starts growing in and starts pricking (and itching) you! I had my gallbladder removed in August and the idiots shaved HALF my stomach! When I came too and saw that, I said "WTF? Why didn't they do the whole damn thing?" I ended up shaving the rest off myself. Just now starting to get soft and furry again.

Hey Mr. Ralph..speaking of layer shedding....we're waiting.... <eg>

believe you me! I think a speedo would be appripriate attire for a 'summer' thread-n-shed. Where is Andrew, it must be very hot in Florida still...I'm sure he would be cooler shedding a few layers. lol. :)
 
Well, since summer is officially history, I'll be fashionably late to the thread... this is li'l ol' me from this past May, when I was at Bear Hunt in Myrtle Beach, SC. Look for more Bear Hunt photos in 2009!

Whilst there (in Myrtle Beach), I took the notion to pick up a new leather half-harness and arm bands. What...? Honey, they weren't selling appliances at this gig, trust me! It'll soon be too cold to be shirtless out-of-doors around these parts...

Yessir!!

Terry, as soon as I get the laptop into the hospital, I will post results.Hopefully and expectedly positive in nature. Meanwhile, still have to finish the Christmas lites on the last section of the house as I write.

Here is a pic from when I went to California

I was on Santa Monica Bl close to Ocean Avenue. My first real vacation in three years. I drove all the way to LA in my litte Honda in three tanks of gas. i was quite impressed. I want do it again sometime soon.

Quick Update

I would like to send you all my heart felt thanks for all your prayers and good wishes on my surgery of last week. It turned out a bit longer to do than originally estimated like 8 hrs instead of 3 but I came thru fine if not extremely bloated and heavier than when I went in but have been home since Sunday and am feeling pretty good. I almost don't need any pain med(only taking EX.STR.Tylenol) so I consider that progress.
I tire easily but that is expected. Hope to get out walking more now that the real deep pain is subsiding.
ALso have to get to work on these damned K/A dw's I have hanging around and start tossing some. If there is anyone local to me who is interested in them or the major components like doors and wiring assy's to upgrade your own machines to something newer or more novel, then let me know.
I am going to trash the 19 but keep the tank so the 20 electricals can be fitted into it. The 18 needs to be checked and tested and then it's gone too.
Well that's enough for now.
Oh, you guys would really laugh now if I posted a chest shot.. Shaved from just below the pecs to above the pubes. Definetly not a bearish look!

Sounds like an overall excellent report Steve. Take it easy and here's hoping for the most speedy recovery possible.

Ritchie, I lived in Santa Monica for a while not far from where your pic was taken, on 11th St. north of Wilshire. I really enjoyed that town and the air was so much cleaner than the rest of greater L.A. I had branches and blooms from poinsettias that reached all the way up past my 2nd story balcony. I could definitely live there again.
