We had a quaint little Sunday dinner over here at my place yesterday for most of the Atlanta contingent.

In Attendance, were guest of honor, Steve Bisso, also Lawrence Hughey, George Donalson, Peter Haritatos, and myself----the cook (re-named for the occasion "Rachel Riley" ach!

You don't know how bad I wanted to surprise you all and just show up. If it would have not been for a childs promised birthday party yesterday afternoon, I would have had my azz on the road at 9 to be at your place for 2. No way I could swing it however.

Looks like a nice group, and I am certain that your cooking and hospitality was to die for. You always do it perfect!

Looks like you guys had fun! I've heard MANY good things about Steve's cooking but haven't had a chance to sample it yet...perhaps at the future Atlanta fix-in? ;-)

So, what machines were played with? Inquiring minds want to know!

Southern Hospitality

Nothing about Rachels Ray's 30 minute meals is representative of the time honored, slow cooked, Southern cooking and the robust flavors that come from expertise and affection in the kitchen.

Westy, it was more of a dinner and social gathering than a "wash-in". ATHOUGH, you know we had to run at least one load "just because".
We washed in the Maytag (Newton-drive) A612 (that came from Lawrence) and dried in the old gas '66 Whirly-with-the-window.

Ran a few loads in the old Maytag DD Dishwasher also.

Sunday dinner menu was typical Atlanta:

Fried chicken
rice and gravy
collard greens
carrots and honey
macaroni and cheese (Peter's favorite "southern vegetable")
buttermilk cornbread
chocolate poundcake
and anything thing else that couldn't get away before we ate it.

Sounds like a great menu Steve!! Good to see all of you guys again, wish I could have been there as well.
