I adored her,

and loved the Newhart show she was in the best of them, though the second one with Mary Frann, was almost as good. Almost.

I loved Suzanne's appearances on The Tonight Show...she could get Johnny to crack up like few ever could.

I am suprised that she lived this long after Tom Poston.

She is a Syracuse University alumni. I met her once in NY in the 70's at a botique on Madison called Julie's where my sister comissioned designer handbags and clothing. She walked in with Marissa Berenson,(boring and aloof) and when she opened her mouth, her Suazanne Pleshetteness fell out. She was actually really nice, and was thrilled that my sister and I were from Syracuse University, and asked about certain things on campus and hangouts she frequented years ago.
She was a real person, who happened to be an actress, not an actress who happened to be looking for her self. A fun broad, in the best sence of the word.

I remember her in Disney" comedy western movie ,"Bullwhip Griffin"anybody remember who else played in that movie?I'll give you a hint. His best performance was that in the movie "Planet of the Apes"He too has past.I think in 1998.

cancer

I liked her. I dont know how I missed this posting for so long but I still want to comment.

I cant believe nobody mentioned that "its not nice to fool, mother nature".........I still catch mtself saying that from time to time.and in my memory of it I remeber it just cracked me up when I was little. Esp once the ligtening strike went off.

For those who dont know YEs respitor failure IS useally the last down fall of cancer. I watched my own mother take this ride. Tecniacally she had cancer, speicifically colon cancer. We know this by way of a diagnostic test.......the tested all the cancer and the oldest was on the colon above her belly. They knew that already because the tumour that put her in the hospitol came from there but the diagnostic test proved it.

She also had cancer on every single organ in her body so after they removed that tumour they just sewed her back up and said its a matter of time. SHe died aproximatly 18 days after being diagnosed

Even so it wasnt the cancer that killed her, it was respitory falure and that is what is listed on her death certificate.I urge all of you to get checked once you start hitting your forties. My mom was 54 years old but with a simple yearly check up she might still be here.

as a result me dad started yearly check ups and has beat it twice and both times they said early detection was the key.
I certainly dont want to preach but I certianly dont want any of yalls bailing any earlier then you have to.
