I believe the older model in the video didn't have suspension, so it should be lighter than the later models.

@foraloysius yes it was very sturdy, I paid about £15 for it at an auction. It was probably 10-15 years old already, but was in great condition. I actually bought it as a gift for my first bf, I know it was still going strong some years later. I keep an eye out on EBay, cos I’d love another, just for fun. With the top rack it would actually make a very useful overflow dishwasher when entertaining.

I’m afraid I don’t know, but I have a feeling they were sold here. Full sized Asea and Asko dishwashers certainly were at high end shops like Selfridges.

Vacbear I think you are right! I think I’ve got every Which edition that tested dishwashers since 1959(they are my appliance of greatest interest) I’ll have to dig them out and see what I can find.
Today they added an ad for a Phlips vacuum from 1969.

Interesting to see that cleaner in 1969, we had them in the UK from around mid 1970s - I have one in my collection. Interesting too to see the flip over carpet/floor nozzle which Hoover used on the earlier versions of their Conquest cleaner

That Husqvarna is a relabelled budget AEG. This picture comes close I think, the colour of the control panel is different though.
After watching it again, it looks like another model than the one in the picture I posted. Still a relabelled AEG though.

Thanks Louis, I appreciate the research - I would never have thought that style was AEG, as I associate AEG with the larger control panels such as here - this is Italian of course

I'm not sure but I always had the impression Husqvarna never made an automatic washing machine themselves. My brother shot a few pictures at the Husqvarna museum for me some years ago. There is even a relabelled first generation Turnamat.

Time to revive this thread for a coffee commercial. Some interesting stoves, electric with ring burners or solid burners and a gas stove. And at 1.33 a coffee cup from the famous "Rörstrand Ostindia" service.

A great commercial for Radion detergent and Comfort softener with a few nice washing machines as well. The frontloader looks like a washing machine in a communal laundry room. The washer and spin dryer we have seen before. In that commercial they were connected to eachother by a metal strip.
Oh yes, the home of cool Jazz, Sweden....
I'm sure that's an apartment building laundry, the small top loader is what people had in their bathrooms in the 60's and 70's. I haven't been able to find the advert for it, but they had a telephonic system in big complexes (either rental or cooperative) for phone booking the laundry machines. You'd call up, press a button or enter a code and a red "reserved" light would come on the machines if they were free. I think smaller buildings the "husmodern" (aka housefrau) got a day of the week for her laundry (was that way, and still is, in some buildings, in Norway too). They were definitely going for the higher end market here.
PS, as an FYI "Radion" is a more archaic version of radio in Swedish.
And here's Mary Hartman forcing her kids to make "table top" waffles!
