Sweet set!!

Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

Jon, I hate to say this, but I hate to see such a perfectly matched set split just so one can be torn apart for parts.  Maybe if they were the color white, I'd feel differently, but a set that's a color like this, shouldn't be torn apartg.

I want them!

If no one else has made an offer to the seller, I would like to see if I can work out a deal. What would be a reasonable offer to make on a set like these? Hopefully they did not send them to the scrapper yet. Anyone want to meet up or go on a road trip with me?

Filter indeed

That's exactly what that is, good call Brian! Kind of odd that one is hanging around, but that is the filter which was modified later on to fit Kenmores as a replacement for the troublesome cone-shaped filters of the later 60s and early 70s.

COOL set - I hope someone can rescue them and enjoy them. I suspect the machines aren't going to bring as much for scrap as that seller thinks, so a modest offer should be sufficient.

Two of my aunts had the Inglis Royal, Canadian equivalent of these.

I saw this set on Craigslist recently and I had sent the pics to Paul. I also like these.

Grab Them While Ya Can!!!

Nice set and great performers.
Love those Whirlpool/Inglis washers with the "Super Surgilator" agitator. Love that chrome top too!
I had a chrome cap on one of my compact Whirlpools with the older style of "Mini Super Surgilator" agitator before they standardized and went with the less powerful Kenmore style straight vane agitator in all Whirlpool BD compacts.

1970 WP pair

This is another of the very FAST and Cool WP TWO SPEED dryers, this one varies the air speed and BTU input, it is one of the fastest domestic dryers ever made at 30,000 BTUs, this dryer will keep up with 3 or 4 modern fast spinning washers, LOL.

Hope someone saves them.

Hi Jon, just polish the rust off that KA dryer drum and start using it, or if you want repaint it, as long as you keep using them the lack of paint will never affect the dryer, neither of my everyday WP built dryers have much finish left on the drums and it has never caused a problem.

Lovable set! Wished I could take the washer if I were in New England!

Is the dryer  a gas one? I can see a large electric cord behind it so looks electric, they does not specify it....

If he is going to scrap the washer how I'd like to have the chromed cap agitator (a spare one is always good) and the softener pan to use with my new Whirlpool.

I rarely use liquid softener but when I do I'd like it.

Working on it still...

The set hadn't been scrapped but the seller is slow to respond. I offered for the set and he is probably not going to get back to me until tonight since he is working today. Apparently he had two other offers but they didn't return his email. I'm hoping whoever it is, they don't needlessly raise the price lol.
