Help Support :

"Is that plastic piece that has four support vanes part of the boot or is that inside the plastic holder assembly?"

It's inside the plastic insert, they're separate. I can send you the bellows whenever you're ready.

Hi Dan, thank you. Quick question, so how does this part go bad when it does and does this happen often with KD-18s? I'm just asking as it appears to only deflect the water inwards to the upper rack tube.

Is this a part that people are often looking for?

The boot eventually tears/splits and water pressure is lost. It's a common failure now that these machines are almost 50 years old. It only applies to the 18 series KA's (very first 2 wash arm model), the 19+ series was redesigned but the upper constant rinse was deleted in those.

Got my new Frigidaire rings in the mail

They look great. I soaked them in a half gallon of water from the instant hot out 185° soaped up the column in the washer and slide them into place with no real problem, I’m glad you emphasized lining up the wording on them Robert I always hate that when a plumber installs a garbage disposal and never lines up the words it’s always upside down or sideways lol

Didn’t have a lot of laundry to do but was anxious to try it so I grabbed a couple sweatshirts and three pair of pants loaded the machine properly seem to work very well as usual with the circulator ring not being loose on the column I think it actually washes a bit better However as usual, that’s not the type of Frigidaire came out all knotted up lol
